On Wednesday 4 October, we celebrated a very special occasion for the Life! program and Diabetes Victoria with our ’15 years of Life!‘ celebration, held in the beautiful Queens Hall at Parliament House.
We were fortunate to have the Minister of Health, The Hon. Mary-Anne Thomas present on the government’s commitment to prevention in the diabetes space and the impact that our program has had in our community over the past 15 years. We also heard from one of our Life! graduates Luana on her journey with the Life! program and how her learnings have become a mainstay in her attitude towards her health and wellbeing.
It was a fantastic day to reflect and celebrate on the incredible achievements of everyone who has made our program what it is today; our staff, our facilitators and providers, the Victorian Department of Health and last but not least, our participants. We’ve helped over 75,000 Victorians improve their health to become the best versions of themselves. That’s thousands of mindful nutrition habits created, countless hours of endorphin-boosting physical activity, and hundreds of smiles built from the inside out.
Thank you to those of you who were able to attend the event on the day. And thank you to everyone for your ongoing support, we couldn’t have done it without you!
